First Anniversary - August 16, 2005

To celebrate our first anniversary at Pisgah Family Health, Dr. Curran and the staff took a day off to test themselves on the Nantahala River, near Bryson City, NC.

Dr. Curran with the alien frisbee
Before the trip, fears were high. Most of us had never rafted before. However, with Dr. Curran as our guide, we all felt much safer.

Nantahal Falls
Dr. Curran guided the raft through five miles of chilly whitewater, including the exciting Nantahala Falls. Tami and her son Cody were brave enough to swim in the chilly river, but everyone else chose to stay only soaking wet in the raft.
After the raft trip, we braved the 50-foot Alpine Tower at Nantahal Outdoor Center. Everyone made it to the top (and safely back down) by their own route.
