Pisgah Family Health is the office of Dr. Gary Curran. Pisgah Family Health is located in Ridgefield business park near the Biltmore Square Mall. My staff and I strive to provide you with the best medical care possible, in the most comfortable setting.
HOURS
We are open for patient care Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 5pm, and Friday from 9am to 12pm. Patients may come in for fasting labs as early as 8:30am.
Dr. Curran shares night call with several other board-certified physicians. After hours calls will be received by Dr. Curran or one of his call partners.
When Dr. Curran is away on vacation, the phones will still be answered by my staff. Patients should seek care for emergencies at the Urgent Care Centers or Mission Hospital Emergency Room.

PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to give patients the best possible medical care by combining modern evidenced-based practices with common sense and realistic goals. I believe in patient autonomy, and I encourage my patients to take an active role in their health. Good health begins with a healthy lifestyle.
SCOPE OF PRACTICE
I provide primary care for people of all ages, from newborns to seniors. This includes well and sick care, physical exams, urgent care, and management of chronic illnesses. If hospital services are necessary, I admit patients to Memorial Mission and Saint Joseph Hospitals. Patients may occasionally meet medical students from UNC and Duke, as I teach Family Medicine to students on rotation in my office.
PROCEDURES
In the office I offer EKG, lung spirometry, skin biopsies and cryotherapy, vaccinations, casting and splinting, pap smears, and other common procedures. My staff can draw labs to be processed locally. For procedures that I do not offer, I refer patients to the excellent panel of specialists in Asheville.
INSURANCE
We accept most private insurance plans, and self-paying patients. We are not currently accepting new patients with Medicaid, Medicare or United Health Care. Call Julie for specifics about your plan.
